Trauma Informed Placemaking - green light on book, and Bloomberg article
I am delighted to share the news that Dr Anita McKeown and I got the official OK from Routledge on our research-as-publication textbook ‘Trauma-Informed Placemaking.’ It will feature over 40 contributors, writing from a multitude of global and intersectional purviews on projects and practice past, present and future. A post with more detail will follow, as will the projects own website.
‘Trauma Informed Placemaking’ was a term that Anita and I coined in conversation through the 2020 syndemic and the textbook has been two years in development, the time taken to ensure its relevancy and accountability. It is wonderful then for us to see the term gain some currency and one such aspect of this is an article we contributed to for Bloomberg, The Cities Encouraging Healing With ‘Trauma-Informed Placemaking, published on 4 August and written by Rebecca Greenwald.
