Joining Happy Healthy Places event w/Academic Health Science Network, NE&Cumbria
I’ll be joining the Healthy Happy Places team and guest speakers on 7 March in its next webinar looking at how we can collaboratively create our spaces through a trauma-informed lens.
The Healthy Happy Places programme focuses on creating and supporting good mental health and wellbeing through its connection with the built and designed environment in the North East and North Cumbria.
This programme of work is funded by the Academic Health Science Network, NE&Cumbria to support the Integrated Care System (ICS NENC) mental health workstream in its aim to create healthy, sustainable places, as well as the wider Public Health agenda around inequalities and prevention.
Healthy Happy Places will build upon existing good practice within the region in terms of collaborative planning and public health approaches but with a particular emphasis on mental health, wellbeing, and design focussed solutions.
I’ll be speaking with:
Dr Angela Kennedy, Head of Specialist Psychological Therapies and Expert in Trauma Informed Care, NHS-E Lead for Trauma Informed Community of Action, working with the manifestations of trauma and dissociation. Cumbria, Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust.
Catherine Cartwright, Artist and PhD Candidate in trauma-informed artist practice.
